cleaning injectors

there seems to be a lot of talk about sending off injectors to have them cleaned. i'm a one car owner and drive my TA daily, is there any way to take my injectors out and do a high quality cleaning job on them myself??? what would be involved??? would i need to purchase any special tools, o-rings, lubricant, or cleaner? thanks in advance guys!!!

Even if you could do that yourself, I think it'd take more than a day, and more $$ than Rich would charge. Hunt down an extra set of injectors; that's what I did.
