problems installing Energy Suspension trans mount on stick cross member
problems installing Energy Suspension trans mount on stick cross member
I'm in the middle of installing it right now and the bolts won't line up to the cross member. I've been fooling around with it for the last hour and it's freakin cold out. Anyone have any tips to help me? I'm about to give up and throw on a cheapo mount...

Is this the same mount for automatics? I thought they were different for manual trannies.
At any rate, after I dropped & reinstalled my trans (when I had it rebuild, AGAIN), I couldn't get the ES mount's bolt to mate with the trans. I wound up removing the mount from the trans, putting the mount bolt through the crossmember, screwing the mount onto the trans, then tightening down the crossmember.

the easiest way...
1) remove crossmember, let trans hang
2) remove old mount
3) bolt new mount to trans and tighten
4) bolt crossmember to mount (leave loose)
5) jack up trans and bolt crossmember to chassis (leave loose)
6) align all holes from crossmember to chassis and crossmember to mount so they are centered, then tighten
Trying to do it without dropping the crossmember is what is called "P!ssing into the wind" (sorry minors)
