Water neck question

i wanted to get a new waterneck but the only ones that ive found in stores are solid pieces and there isnt a hole to put the water temp gauge, so i was wondering if theres another place on the engine to put the sensor. thanks

If you mean the water temp sender for the guage, look on the side of the LH head, there should/might be a plug there between #3&5 cylinders, pull that out (watch out for coolant) and screw your sender in there (might need an adaptor).
