Fan sending unit ?

How hard is it to change the electric fans sending unit? I have the new unit but haven't installed it as of yet. I just swapped engines and am still finding little bugs here and there. One bug is that fan doesn't come on when it should .( I've already boiled the raidator over once when stuck in heavy traffic). I have headders on and It's near impossible to get to the starter. I hope removeing the starter isn't part of this procedure. Let me know guy's I'm going to begin the chore tommorow. Thanks

JB,

What year/engine/fuel system do you have? The fan controls changed over the years, so it makes a difference.

It's a 86 firebird, I just put in a new 350 L98 engine that's for a 87 IROC. So far just about everything has been in the same place as the old LG4 I had. Thanks Vader.

Right head, between the #6 and #8 spark plugs.
