injector help asap!!!!!!!!!!!!

okay my car has been dropping a cylinder and i tested my fuel injectors and all of them came out to 16.8 except for one that came out to 8.6. Okay so i have a bad injector. All of my injectors are stock and are the greay type and when i went to canadian tire and bought a new injector (im only replacing the bad one) it was black. The thing about the new injector is i only get 12.6 for the resistance am i going to have a problem with this in my car?

Injector coil resistance is less of an issue than most people may believe. As long as the injector coil resistance is within specifications for that injector, and the total circuit resistance is within the specification for the ECM switching transistor, they'll work just as they were intended. Injector coil resistance has no relevance to injector flow (unless, of course, an injector is very high or very low resistance). It sounds like you may have an original set of Lucas CAV injectors, and possibly got a Denso or updated Multec injector as a replacement.

oops ment to update. I was worried so i looked up the company on the net and gave em a call. They told me crappy tire gave me the wrong part which is no surprise because they always do. I went took it back and splurged the extra 50 bucks to get the one from the dealership oh well hopefully my car will work

Ya know, you could take that one back, and for around 200-225US, get a set of 8 Accels, and replace them all.

If you haven't installed the new injector yet, contact Rich@cruzinperformance.com , he probably has something to save you some $$.
