Aux Fan Temp Switch

I know about the JET Fan Switch that turns the fan on at 200 and off at 185, but it costs $35 and I already have one on my Camaro.

I am looking for a cheap substitute that will work on my other car. Any thread will do, I'll adapt it if I have to.

Ok, Ok. I searched the archives and found the fan switch for a 1987 Buick Regal VIN 7 brings the on temp down to 203degF, over 20deg cooler the the stock Z-28 aux fan switch.

John,

AutoMeter non-adjustable temperature switch, part number 3246. ½" NPT thread, closes at 200°F, opens at 187°F. Two 1/4" male push-on "spade" connectors. $20.99 at the parts stores. Fits in the stock coolant temp sensor holes, or you can put it in a really sensitive location like this:
