Is this a carb or trans problem, need help fast
In the past couple of days, my car sputters real bad making left turns. No symptoms on a straight line acceleration. They only happen at low speed, like when turning left from a light, and only in first gear. I can go full throttle around a hard left turn in second or third with no problems. It feels like the car is running on 6 cylinders, and it sounds horrible. Please help!

Marc,
Not having benefit of feeling/hearing the symptoms myself, I can only guess. It sounds like a fuel delivery problem. You might want to check the inlet needle/seat, float binding, and the fuel bowl insert (little plastic "cup-looking-thing" stuck in the fuel bowl to take up space.
I've also heard of the air horn/upper carb gaskets failing on QuadraJets that allow raw fuel to splash directly into the idle or intermediate air bleed holes and metering wells when cornering, but I would suspect that your gear selection wouldn't make a lot of difference in that case.
