lt1 cam which one?
i got an lt1 cam off ebay and want to know if there is any way to tell which one it is. you know what the lift is.the only numbers on it are a 7 stamped in the back end and 600-gmpt-bc-13 around the shaft. these numbers do not match the chart at all. seller will not respond at all.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
Measure the base circle, then the max lobe height. Subtract the base circle from the max lobe height to find lift at the lobe.
To find the stock lift at the valve, multiply the lobe lift by 1.5
If you're using 1.6 ratio rockers, multiply the lobe lift by 1.6
To measure the ICA, the LSA, and the duration @.050", you'll need a dial indicator and a degree wheel.
To be honest, all the LT1 cams aren't THAT much different from each other. I doubt it would even make a .05 second difference in the 1/4 mile.
But if you MUST know, that's how to do it.
