MAF understanding
So the MAF filament should not glow while the car is running? But when its shut off it will glow? I am trying to understand all this. I will try the PCV valve then the relay. Have a good one!!

Although there is an easy method in checking to see if the stock relay is still good.... it's better that you just buy a new one, as there cheap enough (last I checked, they were about $15.00)....
During normal operation, the MAF sensing wire is held at a temperature exactly 75°C above the incoming air temperature. That is how the MAF determines the mass of air passing through it. The amount of current required to maintain the temperature differential is directly proportional to the mass of intake air. That temperatue difference is not enough to make the wire incandescent.
If your's is glowing while the engine is running, you MAF burn off relay is likely stuck, or the wiring to the MAF is damaged.
