heads?

i have a carbeurated 350 with performer intake and crane energizer cam. I am wondering what to do about heads. SHould i get mine ported and polished? rebuilt? or should i just suck it up and buy an aftermarket set? I am looking for the most power i can get without losing too much drivability, and without making me go broke. Nitrous is also on the way, if that makes a difference or not, i dont know. thanks for your help

I would go with a set of aftermarket aluminum heads like Trick Flows or AFR's.If you were to take your heads somewhere to have them worked it would only cost a little more to go ahead and get the aluminum heads.Plus you save alot of weight.

Zupman, I'm looking at getting new heads for my 5.7 GTA. I'm going with the AFR 190's. I've heard nothing but great things about them. They are more expensive than most others, but I'm already spending a fortune to rebuild my engine...what's a couple hundred more? HA!! Anyway they are like $1250 ready to install. Check 'em out at www.airflowresearch.com
