I want a digital dash...whats involved?

Axle/Gears: Three 8 3/4's & one 9 1/4
I want a digital dash...whats involved?
I have an 89 GTA. I want to put in a factory digital dash. Where can I find one? Also, what exactly do i have to change to get it to work. My friend said I have to change the ECM. I dont see why, maybe the sending units for the gauges, but the ECM? I sure hope not.
