Code 36 is back
Code 36 is back
I was rid of code 36 for a day, but its back. I changed Maf burn off relay/Maf power relay and pcv valve. I noticed some grimey and freighed wires, so I taped them up. Any other ideas?
Yeah, I have another idea. How about replying in the original thread instead of starting a new post for the same problem? It doesn't add "Frequent Flyer Miles" or anything when starting another thread. It's easier to follow the process if you update the existing one with new information.
So, where were the frayed wires? Around the MAF? Were you able to see the MAF hot wire glow after the engine was shut down?
Another thing to remember is that even if the problem is repaired, the error code will remain in memory for the next 50 engine run cycles. You can clear the ECM but disconnectng power for about five minutes, then see if you can generate the error again. That's about long enough to remove both battery cables and clean them, if you haven't done so in a while. If not, go get a cup of your favorite beverage while the ECM memory erodes.
