center bolt cover--Wire Looms

Wheres the best place to order them? Do they break when tightening down on the valve covers. Also where can I get some of the wire protectors that go around the plug wires down close to the exhaust manifold. I dont have headers yet but I dont want my wires to burn up....thanks

summit has a good selection of wire looms n wire/boot protectors. i'd just get the little clip looking things that hold the wires together, i had looms on each side where a clamp looking thing held them all together, the plastic 'clamps' or whatever eventually broke

I just ordered a nice set but the type of looms that hang over the side would not fit with the SLP emmissions headers not sure if they would have worked with the factory equip either. I ordered mine from Summit. I agree with the prvious post just use the little clips to conect them dont know about the insulation.

I found the perfect wire separators for centerbolt valve covers. I got them from SDPC for $19.95 (picture in their catalog). They are made by Moroso and are very trick!

They mount to the bolt holes on the side of each head, just below the valve cover lip. There is a bracket over each of the 1&3, 5&7, 2&4, and 6&8 cylinders that directs the wires neatly to each plug. The wires will never come in contact with the head, valve cover, headers, or anything else that can burn the wires. You can even completely remove the valve covers with the brackets on because they don't touch the valve cover! By far the best way to keep your wires separated and neat looking. I was going for attention to detail with my new setup and these are a critical part!
