Is it worth it?
Hi,
I'm looking at my ZZ4 camshaft and I wonder if there're any advantages to expect if I'd put another one: 219/219@.50; 112 lsa, .525 lift both in/ex. This is going to work with HSR, ported L98 heads, dual 2 1/2 ex. and possibly higher-than-stock converter. PROM needs to be reworked, so it's not an add. problem. Blueprinted LT1 rotating assy shouldn't limit peak RPM at lower than 6200-6300; the valve springs and guides will take .550" lift.
What do you think about quick change in my project? Is it worth extra $75? As in my sig. emmisions are not concerned as a problem ;-)
Thanks i.a.
Mike

well it depends...
1. do you have an extra $75?
2. how streetable do you want it to be?
3. whats wrong with the cam you have?
just some thoughts to ponder......

Hmm, after answering to myself I've decided to go with ZZ4 cam. There's nothing wrong with it; I've thought about changing because my engine is assembled now, so cam swap doesn't mean any extra work. I think there's still a lot of points in my car, that require $75-or-more investments
