Can this CAM pass Emissions sniffers?

The 355 is almost done. I've got the bottom end machined, assembled, and sitting here ready to go. The heads will be back from GTP in another 2 weeks. But I've still got to figure out which cam I'm going to use.

This is all on an LT1 that should make ~ 9.4:1 compression with the 21cc dished pistons but it will also be depending on how much the heads are altered in the Stage 2 package.

The trick is that all of the emissions equipment on my car is 'defective' except for the cat. So I really have to weigh my situation.

I don't have enough experience with late model cars that have emissions regulations to know what cam will or will not be able to pass the sniffer. I do know that for either cam I choose I'll be stocking up on dry gas.

So I guess I'm looking to hear some experiences from people who have built their cars and tried to get past the sniffer. What were your cam specs and did you pass/fail? If you passed, did you use any of the dry gas or hot cat tricks to eek it through or did it just pass on its own?

I don't know if Connecticut uses the appearance test, the tailpipe sniffer or both. Back in 1979, Car Craft did a story to see if they could get their project Camaro past the tailpipe sniffer without a cat conv. Aside from the usual tweakings, they put a much smaller pulley on the A.I.R pump (smog pump). That pump was spinning so fast and flushing so much fresh air into the exhaust that it fooled the tailpipe sniffer! I don't remember how the plumbing was done, but try that!
