got some question on rebuild(heads, cam, rockers and so on..)

This is for a 305? Ok the l98's are allum. and i can get brand new ones for about the same price as the torquers which are cast iron for $600. Whats the advantages of each? Also which would be a good cam(roller) for my application. I switched from tbi to carb i have a 625 carter carb. The block is gonna be .30 over, i have 3.73 gears and an auto 700r4. Also which roller rockers would u suggest 1.5 or 1.6 whats the advantages of each of those too

i'd get a set of heads made for the 305. the chambers will be matched to the smaller bore. for a cam i'd run about .45 to .48 lift and 200* to 210* duration.

L98s arent worth 600 when you can get a set of vortecs and a performer RPM for less than that. Not all L98s are aluminum either. The ones on camaros are cast iron. Youll have to get the vortecs milled 45thousanths to keep a good compression ratio and Id go with the 214/224 duration @ .050.
