L98 Heads Fit Stock 305? Too Much?

Are L98 heads too much for a carb'ed 305 (LG4)? And are ported/polished L98 heads a good fit for most engines (Under 350HP)?

Oh - and I have centerbolt valve covers so I assume they bolt right up?

L-98 heads are not "too much" or a 305.

Cast iron L-98 heads will drop the compression ratio of a stock
305 a little. The combustion chamber size is larger 64cc VS 58cc's They could be milled to 58cc's to maintain the cr if you want.
The aluminum L-98 heads have the same 58cc combustion chambers as stock 305 heads.

Either will work well on a 305 with their larger valves especially with a little porting.
