Major problem wt Hot cam, need help bad...

I've run into several problems installing the LT4 hot cam in my car, I hope someone can answer some questions.

1) The timing chain gear that mounts to the cam doesn't fit. The holes don't line up with the cam. This is a new Cloyes double roller, (original doesn't fit either). Am I supposed to use a special cam gear similar to LT1's?
-- OK, found out I need roller cam timing set. I wish jegs catalog mentioned that.

2) The thrust plate doesn't fit. The one I have is off my original 305. The mounting holes on the plate are aprox 3.625" apart. The holes on the block are aprox 3.275" apart. The block is a 4 bolt main 350, engine code CC. (Special HO 350 crate engine, was set up with hyd. flat tappets, but is machined for roller). Again, is there a special one for this?
---Solved this one too. GM used two different designs, with different hole spacing. 1'st design is 3.6 the 2'nd is 3.29.

3)What pushrods do I need for roller cam with standard stamped 1.5 rockers? I seemed to have lost my others..DOH!

Thanx for the help, I'm really in a bind.

The stock size push rods are 7.20" x 0.3125" with drilled/chamfered ball ends on a hollow tube. You probably won't have to change to longer push rods since the base circle on the LT4 "Hot" cam is not substantially different than the stock pattern, but you should always check valve train geometry when changing a cam, lifter, studs, or rockers. If you've installed screwed studs with guide plates, you might need to get longer push rods just to keep the rockers from bottomong on the studs at proper lash adjustment.
