How do i check if my engine has seized?
I have an 89 IROC-Z, 350 5.7 TPI. How do i check if the engine has completely seized up? I have heard about turning the crank with a breaker bar. If i was to do that, what equipment would i need? What size is the nut on the crank wheel? Is there any other way to find out if the engine has completely seized up? as of now the starter will not move the motor at all. I can tell this by watching the alternator while i turn the key. Any info is greatly appreciated.

You can turn the crank with 2 methods:
1) Breaker bar with a 5/8 socket on the end.
2) Remove dust cover at trans and turn it with a flywheel tool.
Make sure you pull the plugs first so its easier to turn. (if it will
)
What happened to make you think its siezed??
