Vortec head bolt question.

Vortec heads.

Are they center or perimeter? ...or do I have a choice?

Transmission: TH-350

Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42

Center. No choice.

You can buy an adapter that will allow you to use perimeter style valve covers, but why?

They leak. Even when used with the adapter. They leak.
