Go to star car and the engine will just try to turn over but it wont. I just had the carburator fixed and I drove it for about a day, then the battery sudenly drained over night, so I charged tha back up, then styed to start it. Is it possible I didn't get it charged enough to power the started... The voltage gauge in the car doesn't seem to work, because it staning straight up and has since I bought the car. Would a not fully charged battery not give enought power to the started and inturn not start the car. The lights in the car work. Any info would be cool... Thanks alot for you time.

What happens to the lights when you try to crank the engine?

If the lights go very dim or completely off, the battery may be failing or you may have a poor connection at the battery, ground, or starter.

Have you tried jumping with a known good battery?
