To mod or replace, that is the question
Ok I got the good ol 305 L03. I was thinking of replacing it with a 400. But it would be cheaper to beef up the 305, say elec water pump, change out the heads, get headers, id like to have something that will pump out 400 hp, so im sure more will be required. any thoughts?

most people will tell you to dump the 305. i prefer to start with a bare block and build on it rather than going the bolt on route. it's better when you can match all the parts than trying to make bolt ons work with a factory short block.
