Carter Electric Fuel pump mounting
I am installing a (pusher) Carter Electric Fuel pump back by the gas tank. Per some of the recommendations on this board I am mounting it against the sloped part of the uni-body that is actually behind the rear seats. My question is how vertical does the pump need to be? The mounting bracket is 90 degrees which makes the fuel pump at the same slope as the uni-body. Is the good enough?
thanks,
phil

Never heard of a problem of mounting these pumps off vertical.
In fact ya never hear of too many problems with these pump anyways.
They are one of the few aftermarket electric pump designed for
constant use on the street. Even used in some OEM applications.
U could bend or modify the mounting bracket so the pump sits more vertical.
If it will make ya more comfortable with it, go for it.
