Vortec Throttle bracket HELP!

need some help, for those who are runhing vortec heads. what are you all doing for throttle cable brackets, it is unfortunatly the only thing i overlooked for my engine swap.

The 350HO is running fine(got it going this morning), and i already broke in the lifters, but i kind of need to get the car back on the road by tomarrow morning to get to school, and i don't have the throttle hooked up.

I know edelbrock has the universal vortec carb bracket, but no where here in phoenix has it, and if i ordered it, it wouldn't be here until tuesday at best. i tried making the old bracket work from the LG4, but no dice.

with the old bracket, i can only get the throttle cable to attach to the throttle on the carb when the cable is at full throttle, and the carb is a 0% throttle.

so am i stuck buying the universal adapter? and if so, how well does it work?

or is there some creative way to rig up the throttle cable otherwise?

any feedback at all would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using the holley throttle cable bracket. It bolts onto the rear carb stud/bolt really easy and it works like a champ. Looks realy nice too.
