ok. i have an 87 firebird with an automatic 305. if you have a 305 you prolly have looked at that air induction tube thats on the lower right side. the tubes opening aims to take air in from the headlight passage. theres barely ANY airflow right there. SO this lil tube seems flexible enough.
I figure i have a non fuctional induction hood. Its for looks but inducts non the less. I could could a hole where the normal induction part should be, unnatach the air hose inductor from up front and bolt it into where my new air dam is located. WVA LAH! should be tons more air right??
I thought up this today why i was in english class. all you engine guys tell me if this would A) Be smart for my engine B) give me increased air flow and increased performance

While a good idea, i wouldn't unless you have an L69 dual snorkel air cleaner. That air cleaner you have just can't breathe well enough to take advantage of the extra air.
