Hypertech Fan switch. Where is the fan switch?

Recently I purchased a Hypertech fan switch in order to keep my engine a little cooler. I read the directions and it stated that the stock switch is usually located on the passenger side cylinder heat between plugs 1&2 is this correct? This doesn't have anything to do with the temp sending unit in the front of the manifold does it? Please help quick, its getting pretty cold and I don't want to fool around with this in the winter. Thanks!

the fan switch should be located between #6 & #8 sparkplugs, on the pass side above the starter in the cylinder head...

Thanks, I went out today and removed the old one, what a pain. I was installing the new Hypertech switch in the head, and I couldn't get the 7/8 socket on the top of it due to the oil dipstick was too close to it. Have to go out tommoro and buy a 7/8" open ended wrench. Thanks for your help. I assume you installed one of these in your car, what temp rating did you use?

Don't forget to wrap the switch with some teflon tape to prevent leaks!
