Vortec heads on 400

I'm curious if you need to drill the steam holes in the vortec heads when they are used on a 400 block. I have all my parts now all I need is time to assemble them while watching out for little things like this question.

I would say yes... the steam holes are to let out any pockets of steam that form in the block, so I can't see where it makes any difference what shape the ports in the heads are. It certainly won't hurt anything to drill them.
