I had to buy different valve covers (Moroso CB) for my '89 IROC when I tried to put on the 1.6 Crane Gold RRs. There was about an 1/8" gap. This was with a higher lift cam than stock, but I don't think the lift difference was enough to make it gap that far. The orgional covers might work if you do some modifications to them (don't know exactly what kind, but have heard of other people getting by with it).

I have 1.6 Crane Gold rockers with stock valve covers running 482/496 lift. You shouldn't have any problems, just make sure you get the rockers made for centerbolt heads.

Here's another vote for "They'll work". I've got 'em on my car with the stock cam (so like .400" lift). Just make sure you get the ones for the Centerbolt valve covers.

Did you guys have to modify the valve covers any? Just curious as to why mine didn't work and I had to cough up over $100 for the Moroso's. I'm running .510I and .540 E lift, could that make that much of a difference?

As I was sitting here typing this, something occured to me. I have Dart heads, maybe there is something different with the Valve cover rails on these heads (maybe lower, don't know) that caused my problem.

Oh well, if it worked for them, it'll probably work for you.

No modification what-so-ever. Just put them on and turned the engine over by hand pressing down on the valve cover to make sure they cleared. There was no contact so I went ahead and torqued 'em down. I've got the aluminum L98 heads, I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

To save yourself money, I would go with Proforms rollers. There half the price and they work with our centerbolt covers, they just recommend using a thicker valve cover gasket, just in case. They don't know what size cam your running.
