distributor
I was just wondering where exactly the "distributor wire" is located. Is it able to be reached from under the hood? Do I have to remove anything to get to it? I am thinking that it may be loose which is why I am asking.
Also, when inspecting the distributor for damaged components, what should I be looking for?

i think the real question is " what's a distributor wire?" or "which distributor wire?". look for mechanical or physical damage actually as cheap as the parts are you're ahead to just buy nwe cap and rotor and swap them out
Check between your ignition coil and the back of your distributor. Unless your car stalls, or runs like a bucking bronco, you probably don't have anything loose or disconnecting. You could have a wire pinched under the cap, or something damaged from heat, though.

I just replaced the cap and rotor. I am running out of ideas as to why my car is stalling. I read a post (can't remember who started it) and they said that they have tried everything that I have and the new distributor did it. Before I go replacing that I want to make sure all connections are good.
