Just like any other engine. As long as you keep the maintanance up and don't abuse it.It also depends on how well the engine is assembled. It should last for quite a while.

It can easily live for 50K miles. If you take really good care of it probably closer to 80K. Will it be making HP after that long. Probably not (not without some freshing). The timing chain will give up close to 30K. You can get 10 degrees of cam retard with a worn out chain.
If you twist it a lot and high (6,500+), the rings and valve springs will not last very much longer than the chain.
One thing that helps a lot is giving the motor a good warmup time. I don't hammer it until its up to operating temp and I normally let the car sit idling for a least 1 min before moving.
I would personally use a better cam than the performer rpm. The comps are much newer designs.

It will certainly last longer if you use a quality synthetic oil than it would on petroleum-based oil or cheap synthetic.

I agree with all of the above: 1) Proper maintenance, 2) Don't run it too hard, 3) Proper warm up procedure and 4) Use synthetic oil and you're engine can last a very long time if it was put together properly.
In my mind the 3 biggest killers to shortening an engine's life is: 1) Not changing your oil enough, 2) Not properly warming up your car and 3) Revving the snot out of it a lot. Synthetic oil does help prolong the engine, but it is NOT a "cure all" if you are constantly doing the 3 "no-no's" I mentioned.
