Question about Waterpump!!

Ok, when my car is at idle, and the heater is switched on, it will blow cold air. When my car is at 1000 rpm or above, it will blow hot air. Could this be due to my waterpump is on its way to the grave??

Also, my radiator has a small leak, does the radiator system have to be air tight? Could my problem be due to air being sucked in through the hole and cause some sort of air lock at idle??

I really need help on this one!

The problem is that your cooling system is so low on fluid that the WP can't throw it high enough at idle to make it all the way to the heater hose fitting.

Fix the leak, fill it up, and it should work fine.
