tachometer problems

I have 91 Chevy Camaro Z28 with 5.7 tpi- I am experiencing problems with my factory tachometer. When the car is traveling 65 mph it registers 3,300 rpm but it doesn't sound like it. It used to register at 2,000 rpm then it got progressively worse. Does anybody know how to fix this tach? Your response is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do a Google search for tachometer repair and you'll get lots of places to send it to. They charge from $80-$125 for the reapirs.
