PVC and Breather Grommets for valve covers.

PVC and Breather Grommets for valve covers.
Why doesent my breather fitting on the pass side valve cover fit.? maybe it just never fit and I am unobservant, or maybe I am missing an o ring or something.
does any one know if there is a part im missing -- how do I get it to seal?
I know this is a big part of the PVC system and i dont like the Idea of sludge buildup.

homemade ramair.
