prowler connecting rods
I have not heard of them. A side note- ALL factory SBC connecting rods have been forged since 1955. Yes, even the new powered metal ones-still a forging, but a totally different technology than traditional forging techniquies. Stock rods are plenty strong for all but the wildest motors if properly machined and prepped AND fitting with good quality rod bolts- not stock ones.
What's the goal with the 400? Intended application? BUDGET?

the goal for the 400 is arround 450 crank horsepower with possibilities of 100-200 NO2 later on, wnat to stay under $350 on the rods since i already spent $250 on stock length 400 rods with i was told would work and now the piston dosent come to the top of the deck. the application is in a street motor, nothing to crazy just something to have fun in the summer with, id say never see more then 6000 rpms

Maybe you could destroke your 400 to a 377 with a 350 crank and make it rev to like 6500+. 350 rods are easier to find and cheaper. Just an idea.
