worn cam, performance loss?

I was thinking today, and just out of curiosity was wondering. how worn would a stock roller cam be after 193,000 miles? also how much performance loss would there be due to it.

Im realy kind of curious if maybe a new cam souch as the Vortec cam from competition products would put a little life back into my engine.

my engine runs rather smooth, but some thing can not be right with it. wile its not the best way to get times I had a friend clock my 0-60 time today with a stop watch and it was around 11 seconds.

Consider this... 95% of the wear that a cam will go through in its lifetime occurs during the first 30 minutes of break in.

193,000 miles should warrant rebuilding the heads. That should give you some power back.

Unless you have a machine shop eqquipt with valve grinding eqquiptment leave it to a pro. It usually runs around $150-200 to have heads fully gone through including a 3a valve job.
