'87 s-10 help, no spark.
Its no camaro, no birdy, but a chevy product none the less.
Anyway, i have no spark coming out the coil, so I did the usual routine check.
Replaced the coil (it was fried), nothing. Tested to see if juice was getting to the coil, yes there was. Tested the pick-up coil (should be throwing out between .5 and 1.5) and it was .789, so i assume it was good. Took the ignition module to the autoparts store, they hooked it up, it tested good. Checked the ground and ran a new ground straight to the block, nothing.
They tested the coil, was good.
My only guess cause i'm not familar with these new aged **** and TBI is the computer?
Would a computer be a possible solution for my no spark problem/any other suggestions? I searched the web but found nothing useful
thank you, its a 2.5 L 1987 s-10

ecm isn't you problem. crank position senser would be my guess but i don't think you have one with your engine so i'd go back and suspect the module even if it tested good at the store. silly question, but where do you have spark at? out of the coil correct but not out of the distributor? cap and rotor good? since this is thirdgen.org and not s10.org it gets closed to keep with the theme of the board
