Hurst Dual Gate Owners

I started installing a Hurst Dual Gate 2 last night and for some reason the factory cable seems to be about 1" short. I was able to get it to work but now my cable is fairly tight and I can't achieve the proper front to rear alignment to get the shifter to properly correspond to the markings on the top cover plate because of the short cable. Also, the side to side alignment between the shifter, top plate, and console is out by about 1/2 inch. I called the Hurst tech line and they said they havn't heard of this problem. Has anyone run into these problems? any suggestions?

Also, does GM make a slightly longer cable that will fit my Camaro?
