Blowby Problem
I have some white/gray smoke coming out my breather on the passanger side, what is the remedy to fix this. I do Not have a PVC Valve just the breather and Oil fill Cap. This is a 283 w big cam 230/230 480/480 109lsa. It was not doing this until I added a can of Marvel Mystery Oil, half in the oil and half in the fuel tank. Maybe this need to run awhile before it clears up. Before she had a rich fuel supply and I change the Power Valve from a stock 6.5 to a 2.5. I have notice that the plugs are burning a lot cleaner however the smoke started coming out of the Edelbrock Breather.

Old school 283's and 327's have the their crankcases evacuated from the rear or the block next to the distributor. You need to hook up some kind of pcv system or you'll get excess pressure in the crankcase.
