Tapping noise.
Tapping noise.
Hey guys. I have yet another problem. I was going home the other day and hit some pretty serious road bumps while accelerating. Not immediately after, but about 20 minutes after I started to hear a tapping noise from the back of my car. It seeme like I can feel it through the trans, but I think it originates from the back somewhere. The noise is consistent with the engine speed, not the speed of the car. It only shows up when the car is in gear and I am applying the throttle. It does not do it when Idling or if I rev it while sitting. It also won't do it when the car is moving and I rev it, only when it's in gear, moving, and throttle is being applied. This makes it pretty hard to isolate the problem. I checked the exhaust hangers and they seemed fine. Again, the noise is the same in every gear, but only when the throttle is applied. Any ideas?
