Lurching from park to drive!!

Hi all! I have a problem with my 91 camaro rs auto.I have been unable to find out the cause of my car suddenly lurching forward (like a really stiff shift)when i start my car and put it in gear from park. The car idles high (around 1200 rpm)for about a minute on cold start, then lowers to 500-600 rpm in park.the problem persists even after warmup.the car never did this stock, i noticed this problem after installing a b&m shift improver kit (stage 2 racing)and adjusting my TV cable and minimum air setting. It does stop when i adjust the TV cable for lower pressure(crappy shifts Etc.)but was instructed to set the TV cable for maximum pressure on this shift kit!please help guys this lurching is driving me nuts, and my girlfriend wont drive it any more(finnicky driver).one more question for you guys who know better than I, when resetting a TV cable do i have to press on the peddal as hard as it takes till i hear or feel a click???my problem there is when i press the pedal to the floor(wot) at the bottom of pedal travel i can apply moderate force and hear a loud click along with the pedal moving a little bit farther down.shifts after this procedure are slightly stiffer than stock, but throttle response lags and shift points are much higher. If i repeat the procedure but only press the pedal down to the point of were it will click but no farther, shifts are MUCH stiffer along with better throttle response.
you tell me guys.i have lost patches of hair to this one!
thank you all for your time!! adam

The reason for adjusting the TV cable in the first place is to alter the shift points. If you get it set where you like the shift points and throttle response, leave it there. (I'm a little confused as to how the TV adjustment alters throttle resonse at a given RPM, but, so be it.)
