Vortech heads and EGR
Vortech heads and EGR
Are there any Vortech heads With an EGR passage ?
And Does anyone Make an intake with EGR provisions For the vortech Heads ?
Basically, Could I build a Smog Legal motor Using these Heads ?

Are you in an "enhanced smog" area of CA? If so, then probably not, unless you find a friendly smog check place. I'm using the L98 Corvette heads, with a TPIS Big Mouth intake manifold, and I am hooking up my EGR like the Corvettes do. They use a tube off the #8 header up to the back of the intake manifold. Then I can recertify my engine as a 91 Corvette. You can do the same, but the Vortec heads are iron, not aluminum...

Yes TRUCKS do, and you hit the nail on the head, truck motors are not legal in cars. They have a special intake to accomodate the EGR with a connection to the exhaust manifold.
