My car wont work
My car wont work
Can anybody help.
I have a problem with my car.
When I go to pull away it looses its power and stalls. It will tick over fine and I can rev it in neutral ok. Its only when I put it in gear and go to pull off that I get this problem.
Please help

You really didn't give much info here, can't help without knowing details about the car.
Engine, fuel system, year, etc. all have a great deal to do with how you go about diagnosing the problem.
Generically, hesitation on acceleration is caused by either too much or too little fuel. If it's carbureted, most likely the accelerator pump is not doing it's job.

well i have no clue what the hell kinda car it is, but with a name like peugot! anyways
key things to look for, smell the exhaust (dont sit there and inhale it for god sakes) see if it smells like fuel... if it does, then it is running way to rich. my guess is you have a problem with the air fuel mixture., seems how it idles fine, so that means the ignition is prob fine... best bet if its that new and your not very familiar with it, is to take it to a shop...

Spiv,
There are several universally constant items that will cause symptoms such as yours.
Restriced exhaust system, weak spark (plugs, wires, distributor, coils), excessively lean or rich fuel mixture, poor compression, intake restriction (filter, plumbing, choke), inadequate fuel delivery (pump or filter), timing advance problems or base timing incorrect, driveline binding (axle bearings, stuck brakes), and probably a multitude of other less likely possibilities.
Unfortunately, I don't even have a manual that outlines Peugeot products. Send it back through the Chunnel and ask for a refund, buy a Lotus, problem solved. Either that, or get delivery of a SBC 350 and squeeze it into the engine bay. That should move the little car nicely.
Seriously, I wish I could be of more assistance, but I have little data on the fuel and control systems on many Eurocars. Other than the common problems, unless you can provide more detailed data and measurements, I might not be much help.
