GM 350 universal or zz4 short block

Decided not to rebuild/modify LG4. What is everyone's opinion on starting with GM 350 universal replacement or ZZ4 short block? advantages/disadvantages? My goals are 350+ rear wheel horsepower and emission compliance. I'll be getting headers, full 3" exhaust, AFR 190 heads, weiand action + or edelbrock performer intake, Crane Compucam 2040 cam, MSD 6AL box and HEI high voltage coil. Will be retaining computer and q-jet with updated rods and hanger. How does the combo sound?

I just need to know with what foundation to start. Thanks in advance

Energy Suspension bushings all around

I'm pretty sure the ZZ4 has around 350HP right out of the crate.

I was just reading Camaro Performers and they had a big article about replacing your stock engine with a ZZ4.

The ZZ4 short block has hypereutectics and a forged steel crank. These are some things the universal replacement may not have. The ZZ4 short block is also BALANCED, making it ideal for apps seeing over 5000 RPM. Aside from the balancing, forged crank and the hypereutectics there's no diff.

Hope this helped, any questioms pls ask.'
