HELP!! Please! Intake Needed!
I am now in desperate need of an intake manifold. I have a 1987 Firebird Trans AM with a 305, and it's TPI. If anyone has a Intake I can buy off them, please e-mail me as soon as possible at TheMysticWizard1@earthlink.net.
What Happened to mine?
Well I was trying to pull the thermostat, but one of the bolts was rusted in. It started to come out, then wouldn't turn anymore, I decided to just put it back in then, it wouldn't go back in either. I then was stuck with a bolt half way out, half way in, and it wouldn't turn either direction. Like an idiot, I put more pressure on it, and SNAP! At that second I knew I was screwed. I tried drilling it, and using an easy out, the stupid thing just bent and lost grip. I then drilled it out a little bigger, and was going to tap threads into it, and use a little smaller of a bolt, since it is only the thermostat housing. Well that was going alright, until the tap broke. Now I have a broken bolt with a broken tap in it. There's no way I can drill the tap, I've tried with 3 different Drill Bits.
So it's time for a new intake, unless anyone has any ideas?
