defroster draining alternator .

My alternator went out a few weeks ago so I replaced it wuth a new one. I hooked everything up in the correct place and I finally got my defroster fixed. The other day it was raining so I turned on my defroster ( it was on High) and I noticed my amp gauge went from almost the 15 area to almost 8 . what happened??

I dont know how much this will help, but some people dont realize that when you turn to defrost, your A/C compressor also turns on to help remove moisture in the air, to better defrost. Does it do the same thing wehn your turn on A/C( if you have a/c lol)

You can yank the two wire plug [green wires Me thinks] that plugs intot he ac compressor andi t will keep it from locking.
