since I don't have access to a chilton or haynes right now, I need to know which pair of wires is the VATS connection. I need to bypass it so I can start my car!

It will be 2 wires coming down the bottom side of the column, usually in a white jacket. There will be a plug about 1/2 way down, you'll want to cut the wires after the plug and solder in your resistor. I think the wires are purple and white, but it's been a while...

EDIT: Don't touch the yellow jacket pair of wires, unless you want the airbag in your face

Hey Token, save some for the rest of us! But anyway, the wires coming from the steering column will be white with an orange wrap. The wires they plug into will be purple/yellow and black/white. These go to the VATS control module and are the ones you want to jumper with the resistor. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!
