Will these pistons fit?
Will these pistons fit?
I am building a 400 and was wondering if these pistons will fit with my Pink rods that I I got out of a 350 engine. It says that they are for a 5.7" rod which is what the 350's have. So I am assuming that they will work. I hope they do because I want something with lower compression so that I can run a supercharger later on.

So where can I find some reasonably priced lower compression forged pistons for my 400. I am correct when I say that a 400 uses a 5.7" rod, right? Doesn't it also use a 3.75" stroke crank, and a 4.125" bore?

edit- B+B beat me to it.
Maybe something like this? I will want something forged and lower CR but theoretically it will work, right?

I am thinking maybe these and using aftermarket forged rods:

use a piston specifically designed for a 5.7" rod. it will reduce wear in the cylinders, as well as making the engine less prone to detonation.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
Those second pistons you picked at Summit are the ones you want.
Specifications:
* Bore: 4.155 in.
* Stroke: 3.750 in.
* Rod length: 5.700 in.
Sounds like what you have, right?
BackInBlack is right about the CR. Be careful how much PSI you run.
