Pick whichever you think looks the best. When you are swapping stuff that's all that matters.

I always said if I were to build a drag car I'd get a '79 or so 2 door Malibu.... But since you want to build a camaro I'd say get a '91-'92 Z28.. I'm a little biased towards those two years

I agree, 91-92 is the better looking model because of the ground effects, and spoiler and wheels. I also like the gauge cluster in the 91-92's. As far as suspension if you are lucky you can find one with the performence package, also know as the 1LE option. I gives you bigger brakes (up front) larger brake rotors, aluminum driveline, thicker sway bars, plus a few other things that I cant remeber. Although you may get a 1LE in an earlier year, but I'm not sure what other years offer that package. But as far as looks, like I said I am biased to those years.

If your considering a drag car, stock suspension differences between '82-'92, should'nt matter, since you'll be upgrading it anyway.

As far as I know, all the latter years ground effects can be put on to the earlier years too.

Kinda leaves you with interior as the real choice.

I'd go with an earlier car 82 or 83. They are several hundred pounds lighter then the later ones. You can also get a stripped out 82 or 83 for really cheap!

I wouldn't go near a 2nd gen. They way a ton! A full 500lbs more than an 82.
