Kickdowncable 700r4/ Lokar. ANY OPTIONS??
Kickdowncable 700r4/ Lokar. ANY OPTIONS??
I have recently done the tbi to carb swap and while everything is great so far my tranny is shifting odly. I have adjusted the tv cable(yes i know how to adjust it
and all i get is eighter high hard swifts or wimpy slow shifts that never let the rev go up when at wot. It seems my "pepboys" universal linkage is not right for this. It looks like its not getting enough travel. What have you guys done to correct this problem, which braket etc, can i get one of an lg4? that will work on a performer rpm manifold and edelbrock carb. I called lokar and they said i not only needed thier linkage but thier tv cable and lord knows what else. Can i just use the braket. Any help/tips would be greatly apreciated
Thanks!!!

I think I'd try out the LG4 setup. I would think it ought to be close enough to where you could get it to work. I saw that Lokar setup too, and it looks so universal, it'd probably take an act of God to get it to work right in any application. They're probably the only choice you'd have for a street rod, but since you have a third gen., I would think the LG4 setup will work with a little tinkering. Plus, you can probably find those parts dirt cheap in a junkyard.
