hi, im building a 305 ci engine for stock car racing and was wondering what the best factory 305 head there is available? has to have press in studs is the requirement. also has to be flat tappet. thanks

416 or 081, depending on whether you want early-model or late-model intake bolt pattern & valve covers.

Every one around here uses the 416's because they came on our cars. I persoanlly like the 601's, ports are cleaner and the compression is a tad better 55cc.
